Brief film treatment

Title
After a group discussion and deciding what the film is going to end up like, we decided on a title. We thought that it would be a good idea to decide the title after we decided on the storyboard and what genre we were going to do. We came to an agreement that the title would be 'the show must go on'

Genre
After discussing as a group we decided that we were going to go with a musical, because with the horror and thriller genre already taken we could not use this genre, therefore we decided on choosing the musical.

Idea
The film is basically about two children that are in school and have got detention on the night of one of the school plays/musical. The children have to try and escape from the teacher that is supervising detention in order to reach the school play. We decided to start the film with the children in detention and then progress from there, with the children attempting to escape to the show that is going to be shown in the hall. In order to make this work we decided to use an ordinary class room for where detention would be and then the show is going to be happening in primmer assembly hall, as we thought that this would be a better destination rather than using the drama studio. At one point during the film the children will be running through the hallways, therefore we decided to use the link corridor to film this part of the film.

Music
1) Break free
2) Don't stop me now
3) We will rock you

Script
Limited speech

Teacher tells children that the they must stay in the room and they cannot go to the play.

Children do not really say anything in response to this and communicate to each other through hand signs and nodding.
